COMMUNITY OF PRACTICE-KOINADUGU ON GBV: KICK GBV OUT CAMPAIGN

Schools that have been reached so far are Kabala Secondary School, LOMA Secondary School, Ahmadiyya Secondary School, and Kabala Girls Secondary School, respectively, with approximately 2500 pupils, students, and administrators reached. While 500 community people reached Kanuka, Kabala Township, Thunder Hill, and Dogoliya communities. At Yogomaia Central Mosque and Wesleyan Church, with approximately 1000 worshipers. Her Future Foundation is coordinating the campaign with support from the Children's Forum Network, Rainbo Initiative, and Network AID.

A MULTI – STAKEHOLDER DIALOGUE ON GENDER JUSTICE AND ACCOUNTABILITY 

"the SLP is committed to protecting all citizens, regardless of gender, and holding perpetrators of GBV accountable for their action". The Executive Director stressed the importance of creating safe spaces for survivors to heal and rebuild their lives. He also highlighted the need for community engagement, noting that societal attitudes toward GBV must change to create a supportive environment for survivors. In terms of response, He spoke about the "Ministry’s efforts to establish additional one-stop centers across the country."MoGCA Gender-based violence has been a societal norm. On this dialogue, I learned how to ensure perpetrators are held accountable through legal mechanisms and access to justice for survivors in my own little way. And also survivors require more than just justice; they need support systems that empower them to heal and rebuild their lives. This event is related to my organisational mission which is seeking the welfare and well-being of women and girls.

Network AID is in tune with the call of the United Nations Secretary General to the Security Council in December 2023 and now the Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator, Mr. Martin Griffiths' briefing to the UN Security Council on the humanitarian situation in Israel and the Occupied Palestinian Territory in January 2024. We urgently call on the ten (10) non-permanent security council member states to do the needful as enshrine on the UN Charter (maintenance of world peace and security). Sierra Leone the pride of education promotion MUST take the lead at the security council in the restoration of Palestinian literacy history.
