Network AID advocates for a healthy, safe, inclusive, and corrupt-free society where the right of women and girls, youths, persons with disabilities and deprived children are recognized, respected, and identity protected.
Network AID is a registered voluntary, nonpolitical, not-for-profit human rights organization founded on the 16th of June 2013 to contribute to national and international agenda by empowering illiterate women/girls, youths, persons with disabilities and deprive children in society to realize their full potential irrespective of political affiliation, religion, ethnicity, tribes, educational level and cultural heritage.
Network AID discourages all forms of social pressure, discrimination and social exclusion against illiterate women/girls, youths, and deprived children. We receive and file complaints of human rights abuse and violation; provide training and awareness-raising on corruption, gender-based violence, children’s rights, HIV/AIDS, cancer, mental health, harmful traditional practices/FGM, water sanitation and hygiene (WASH), disaster-incident and accident, and information communication technology.
Network AID facilitate dialogue among key interest groups for the voices of illiterate women/girls, youth, persons with disabilities and deprived children to be heard, and acted upon.
Network AID seeks the welfare and well-being of illiterate women/girls, young people, persons with disabilities, and deprived children to have a healthy, safe, inclusive, and corrupt-free society where they are recognized, respected and identity protected. We are in six countries.
We envision an informed society where illiterate women/girls, young people, persons with disability and deprived children are supported and empowered to make their voices count for a sustainable, corrupt-free, and healthy population.
Enhancing the well-being and welfare of illiterate women/girls, young people, persons with disability, and deprived children development and participation for a productive and corrupt-free society.
Network AID works in three programmatic areas that inform our intervention:-
We use the RESPONSIBILITY-BASED Strategy towards program intervention:-
1. Network AID founded in June 2013 in Sierra Leone siezed operation in December 2014 due to the Ebola Epidemic.
2. Revitalized operation in late December 2020
3. Now heard three (3) Voluntary Country Coordinators:- Sierra Leone, Burundi and after suspending three country programmes despite COVID-19 and the challenges of having funding to fully implement our programme.
4. Promote gender equality, social accountability, inclusion, democracy and responsive governance.
