Dear colleagues in the Mental Health struggle across the globe,
Today, as we mark Mental Health Day, DADA-SL invites you to join us in a collective endeavour to embrace the concept of inclusivity and unity in Diversity. In a world brimming with the cacophony of modern life, it's easy to forget the quiet strengths within each of us. Inclusivity is never far fetched reaching dream; it's a vital part of our well-being that deserves our attention and care.
Mental Health matters, should be regarded as the corner stones of our ability to thrive, interact, connect, and find happiness in the existence of our lives. Yet, Mental Health is a delicate tapestry, susceptible to the strains of stress, anxiety and the numerous challenges we faced daily.
Collectivity, is not about the absence of difficulties, rather the ability to navigate through them with grace. It's about recognising that, it's okay, and on the other hand, not to be okay sometimes, seeking help when required. At DADA-SL and Network AID, we strongly believe in fostering an environment of compassion , and support for all.
As the global Mental Day, we ask u to reflect on ur own mental well- being and that of those around you. Reach out to a friend, a family member, work mate or a colleague, who might be silently struggling . A kind word, a listening ear, or a simple gesture of support can make an enormous difference in someone's life.
Pls let us break the stigma surrounding mental Health and let serenity become a shared aspiration and passion. Together we can create a world where seeking help is a sign of strength, where empathy flows freely, and where serenity is not a distant destination, but a cherished part of our daily lives.
Join us on this journey towards a more serene world. Together, we can make a difference- one act of kindness , one healthy and friendly conversation , one moment of understanding at a time, especially, in the fight against the most popular unwanted substance, popularly known as "KUSH". This substance is rapidly destroying the lives and future of our young generation in Sierra Leone.
Funding is one of our major challenges faced with in reaching out our localities and people. Therefore, we humbly call on Governments and donor Community to maximize financial and legal framework , in a bid to curb mental health hazards and damages.
Warmest regards
